Private servers

Free agar.io private servers

alis.io runs free hosted agar servers for every gamemode: official arenas, community-made modes, and rooms you spin up yourself, public or invite-only. No downloads, no rented hardware, nothing to set up.

Servers for every way to play

Official modes run around the clock; community modes come and go with their creators. Every server is one click from its page, no account needed to play.

Server locations in five regions

alis.io game servers run in Europe, Miami, Mexico City, São Paulo and Singapore. The game picks the lowest-ping region for you automatically, you can switch it any time in Settings, and invite or duel links put everyone who clicks them on the same server.

Host your own room

  1. 1

    Pick a gamemode

Any official or community mode works. Open its page and choose Host.

  2. 2

    Public or invite-only

Invite-only rooms are reachable only through your link. You keep host controls over the match either way.

  3. 3

    Share the link

Friends click it and drop straight into your server from any browser. alis.io keeps the room running.

What this replaces

Renting an agar server elsewhere starts around $8 a month. The old do-it-yourself route means Node.js, config files and port forwarding on open-source projects that stopped updating years ago. On alis.io a server is free and takes one click; see how to make your own agar server for the full picture.

Safe to play, nothing to install

  • Everything runs in your browser. There is no download, no launcher and no extension, so there is nothing to install or trust with system access.
  • No ad networks and no payment details. Coins are earned by playing, never bought.
  • Accounts are optional: play as a guest, or sign in with Google or Discord to keep your progress.

Common questions

Are alis.io private servers really free?
Yes. Playing is free, hosting a room is free, and publishing your own gamemode is free. There is no premium server tier.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Everything runs in the browser, on desktop and mobile. There is no client, no launcher and no server software.
How many players fit in one server?
Up to 50 players per room. Rooms scale out automatically when a mode is popular, and bots can fill the field while a room warms up.
Can I make my server invite-only?
Yes. When you host a room you choose public or invite-only. Invite-only rooms are joinable only through your link, and you keep host controls over the match.
Can I run my own gamemode on a server?
Yes. Build a gamemode and map in the visual editor and publish it. It goes live on its own hosted server with a page, a link and live player counts.
